Ingredients : |
4 bananas 1 box cake mix + ingredients from cake mix instructions, usually eggs and oil 1 package chocolate chips
1 tub frosting (optional)
| |
| How to Prepare : |
Mash bananas Make cake mix, according to box instructions Blend in bananas and chips, before putting in the oven Cook as directed on cake mix box
The cake mix I use, says bake 30 minutes... but either because of the bananas, or my oven dying, it usually takes more like an hour. Suggest checking at 30 minutes, and if still runny in the middle, leave it in longer and check on it every 10 minutes or so, until done. The chips are supposed to be randomly set, but every time I make it, they always sink to the bottom. Flavor is still good, though!
For sugar free recipe, either make cake from scratch with a sugar free cake recipe, or find a boxed sugar free kind. Use sugar free chocolate chips, or none at all (will just taste like regular banana bread).
Frosting - this really isn't needed, except for extreme sweet tooth! Various flavors will work. Vanilla, chocolate, cream cheese.
